The kids in 1st grade all have to do a "Great Brain" project, which is similar to a research paper, but it is a short presentation. They have to study a subject and present it to their class. Emily did hers on eBay, Natalie chose Owls. She worked very hard, read a lot about Owls, and took a trip to the Tracy Aviary to see and learn more about Owls. She did an excellent job.

Showing her class the "Pellets" that owls regurgitate after eating little animals. She got a sanitized one in a book she bought at Tracy Aviary and the class was able to pull it apart and find all the bones. They were really impressed with this:
