Ouch!! Warning, Gross Pictures...

Nate provided a nice bit of anniversary drama yesterday by crashing face first on his bike on the asphalt. It was a pretty severe crash, which you can kind of see from the pictures. There was a LOT of blood, one missing tooth, a dislodging of the appliance that was supposed to keep him from sucking his thumb (he defeated that pretty well), and a little bit of crying, but thanks to an incredible dentist that pulled us into his office and stayed late just to take care of him, we're getting through things just fine.





He looks pretty beat up today, but he was out of his mind excited about the dollar that the tooth fairy left him overnight. We were told that he can't eat very solid foods for a couple of weeks so that the teeth that remain, but are just holding on, can firm up and hopefully stay in his mouth. I told him not to touch his teeth because if he did, they might fall out. He looked pensively at the dollar in his hand, then back at me, and said "really?" It was pretty funny.

Glad he's feeling better today. Poor kid.
