Nate was a bit more into it this year, but he still chose which cars he wanted to sit in by the color and size. Blue cars and humongous trucks won out, but his favorite was the transformers Camaro, which I have to admit, was pretty darn cool.

Once we were through looking at all the cars, we went into the lobby area of the convention center where Nate came across the coolest strangest thing he had ever seen. A phone, stuck to the wall, with a cord! He couldn't believe it and thought it was so cool! He literally played with it for about 15 minutes. I laughed the entire time.

Even more funny was when I came home and told the family about his discovery. The girls kind of sat there for a second, and then Natalie said "what's a pay phone?"

this post was very cute. We visited the auto show too - but with three boys. Since they outnumber us now, it is a bit crazy to watch where they all are, but fun too. Our boys rank the cars by the amount of electronics available - power doors, adjustable seats, DVD players. The Ford "platinum" edition truck with the running boards that retract when you shut all the doors was Peter's big winner this year. Did Nate see that one?
ReplyDeleteAhhhh the pay phone..only us old timers remember those....
ReplyDeleteI remember thinking it was pretty cool when my mom got a really long cord for our phone and we could actually leave the room to talk in private!
ReplyDeleteOur High School had a pay phone and my friend always called her mom collect to come pick her up!
Oh the memories!!
The cars are cool too!
